To have big hair in the ABA, you didn't necessarily need a huge 'fro. Case in point - Claude Terry of the Denver Rockets/Nuggets.

Terry had hair that flew in all directions during games.

Off the court, the hair made him look like a character out of a "Prince Valiant" comic strip. Add in the huge airplane collar and the leather jacket, and Terry was a sight to see.

Even Sports Illustrated took notice, calling Terry a "blonde Sonny Bono."
